installing ink cartridges canon mp210
Printer keeps telling me there’s no ink but I’ve just installed a new cartridge. It won’t let me print at all.?
Printer: Canon Pixma MP210
Bought just before summer, the cartridge given lasted until a few days ago where I bought a new one that worked, I printed stuff and today I did a refill on my old one (color) and I placed it into the printer and it acted like the previous one was still there, reporting low ink, (the old one had only one color in it). It printed for a while and then complained the cartridge was empty. I removed it and placed it back again and it kept complaining. I’ve restarted the printer, nothing seems to work…
Suggestions?
I doubt the refill or the cartridge is faulty, there’s something with the mechanism reading the ink, why would it still act like it’s the old cartridge inside if it’s the new one?
That does not work. Primarily because I can’t remove the cartridge while the printer is off. I tried, removing the cartridge, switching it off, switching it on again to register it as empty and then off again and on with the ink there and it still doesn’t work.
Ink level data is stored in a chip of the cartridge. Once the cartridge is empty, ink low message will appear eventhough you refill the cartridge.
You need to deactivate ink level detection function to continue printing in case of usage of refill ink.
