About Lexmark 3in 1 printer making noises at 11:30 pm while computer is off?
Like the question says, I have a 3 in 1 Lex mark printer, scanner copier. It makes noises like it’s taking the paper in and print on it. But here is the thing, the computer is off, the printer is off and no paper in the printer. It has happened 3 days this month that I know of. The time is the only thing that the 3 days have in common. I have left paper in it the second time, but it didn’t print anything. I have no clue why it’s doing this. And only at 11:30 pm. The computer is not connected to the internet, so no one else could be accessing it. I do leave the computer and printer connected to power at all times. The computer doesn’t come on when this happens. The printer doesn’t come on either. It just makes these noises seemingly on it’s own. I just want other peoples opinions what could be happening. I did have another Lex mark printer, but it didn’t do this. I don’t know the model number, but it takes a black 14 and color 15 ink cartridges, if that helps.
Whats the model number (it is the number in the front cover) Some printer do routine maintenance to clean and avoid ink clog up. Or some printer has the power saving function, which after specific time or hours, it will shut down to sleep mode and it creates noise. Nice observation and timing though.
